Looking for the boat of his dreams, Lucas Bassani, the visionary 33-year-old founder of Wally, wanted to travel the Mediterranean with his wife and two children. He wanted a boat that would be comfortable, safe and fast, for both racing and pleasure sailing. He planned a carbon mast for greater lightness, with a deck free of anything dangerous for children, and a large cabin forward. As there were no yachts on the market that matched this description at the time, Lucas Bassani simply decided to create his own.
